Be Heard’s Founder

Hi! Nice to meet you, my name is Michael Kamal! I created Be Heard after being exposed to the emotional story of Just Mercy and the real-life injustices it portrays. The film opened my eyes to the power of storytelling—to how a single voice, when heard, can challenge systems, inspire empathy, and spark change.

Growing up as the son of Egyptian immigrants, I often witnessed how easily voices could be overlooked when language, background, or circumstance stood in the way. That realization became the foundation for Be Heard: a platform dedicated to amplifying stories that might otherwise go untold. My goal is to create a space where people can share their experiences freely, connect through vulnerability, and remind one another that every voice carries value.

At its core, Be Heard is built on compassion, authenticity, and justice. I believe that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have—it bridges divides, exposes truth, and builds understanding. Whether it’s advocating for equality, mental health awareness, or representation, Be Heard stands for giving people the confidence to tell their stories and the reassurance that someone is listening.
